Summer Splash Camp

Unfortunately, we will not be offering the Adventure Splash Camp in 2013.  Please check with us for information on our other programs.

Patriot Aquatics

Adventure Splash Camp

Philosophy

The purpose of this unique camp is to provide instruction in a number of water activities, to experience the fun that only an aquatic environment can offer, and to do this in a safe manner.

Instruction

Campers will receive instruction in swimming by means of a 30 minute swim lesson daily.  Basic knowledge in springboard diving, water polo, basketball, volleyball, kayaking and canoeing is taught over the course of each week of the camp.

Adventure Guides

Who are our Adventure Guides?  These are High School and College students who are former competitive swimmers or water polo players and have knowledge of the various activities which we will be offering.  They have exhibited an ability to manage a group of young children and to have fun doing so.  They all are certified Swim America swim lessons instructors and are CPR certified.

*All Adventure Guides  have been involved with Patriot Aquatics for several years and are personally known to us.  We do not hire personnel with whom we do not have prior long term experience.

Fun

Our main goal is for every camper to have a unique and fun experience.  We will do this by organizing over two dozen games and activities.  Each week will be different  from every other week, as we will rotate games and activities from week to week throughout the summer.  We will introduce inflatables of all sizes to wow every camper.

Friendly individual and team competitions will build a sense of accomplishment while having fun.  Relay races, timed kayak and canoe races, treasure hunts, and many other activities will create an experience that will leave our campers with a lifetime of memories.

We plan to add to our camp’s activities each year in order to continue improving on this concept.

Safe

Our Adventure Guide to camper ratio is 1:12.  Each Adventure Guide is responsible for the safety of our campers.  In addition, we will have lifeguards positioned around the facility for added safeguards.

Our first safeguard is preventative in nature.  All campers must be able to swim 25 yards of the pool unassisted.  We may allow borderline swimmers to participate with a flotation device that we will provide.

Our Adventure Guides are instructed in procedures for all our activities to insure safety for everyone involved.

In addition, there are at all times, numerous personnel at the facility certified in CPR.

Policies

We have procedures in place for the following:  sign in & out, safety, activity procedures, inclement weather procedures, snacks & lunch, daily ear drop application, sun screen application, daily scheduling of all activities including breaks, illness, and an emergency action.

Please see policies guidelines for more information.

*Minimum swimming qualifications required.
